Dr. Raymond Chai

 

Dr. Raymond Chai is a head and neck surgical oncologist at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.  He is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and serves as the Director of Head and Neck Robotic Surgery at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.

 

Dr. Chai's clinical expertise focuses on malignant and benign tumors of the head and neck, including the care of patients with cancers of the oral cavity, oropharynx, hypopharynx, larynx, paranasal sinuses, salivary glands, thyroid/parathyroid glands, and
cutaneous malignancies of the head and neck. Having trained at the University of Pennsylvania with Dr. Gregory Weinstein and Dr. Bert O'Malley, Jr., the inventors of Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS), Dr. Chai brings a broad experience with TORS as a minimally invasive approach to cancers of the head and neck.  He is also trained in organ preservation approaches to cancers of the larynx, including transoral laser microsurgery and supracricoid laryngectomy.
